The Ginkgo tree is one of the oldest living species of trees on the planet - it has been around for over 300 million years, earning itself the nickname “living fossil."
The Maidenhair Tree, as Ginkgo is also known, is primarily used as a circulatory tonic. It improves circulation to the brain which, in turn, elevates oxygen levels and boosts the brain’s metabolism of glucose. This can help to improve focus and concentration, make us feel sharper and more alert, and may even improve memory.
